The Main Camarillo shelter is staffed 24 hours per day. Evening assistance is available to turn in animals or to provide bite information. You can only reclaim or adopt an animal, or look through our kennels during the hours described below.
As with most county offices, we are closed on major holidays. Kennel staff, emergency field officers and dispatchers are on duty at all times.
Animal adoptions are not available at the Simi Valley Shelter.
The Camarillo Shelter and the Simi holding facility are open to the public during the following hours:

We stop showing animals half hour before closing.
Your county has field officers on duty 24 hours per day, 365 days a year. Should you need the assistance of an officer in the late evening or very early morning, you can call the shelter's normal number, (805) 388-4341 or 888-223-PETS and proceed through the voicemail menu. One of your choices will direct a message to the officer on duty.
